Site Development Plan

The Rochedale Community Garden is a permaculture garden using sustainable gardening principles located on private land at 160 Rochedale Road, Rochedale. It is available to community members for food production and education relating to growing food sustainably.

Rochedale has traditionally been a farming area but is in the process of having the fertile farming land being redeveloped for residential, commercial and light industrial purposes as part of the Rochedale Master Plan.

The garden site is bounded to the north by a semi-permanent waterway which eventually flows into Bulimba Creek. The total area available for the community garden is approximately 1650m2 The southern part of the area has native trees growing.
